Course Description
Whether you are new or experienced to watercolor, it’s common to get frustrated.
In Skill Building, we will explore the “hows and whys” of watercolors. From choices for paper, paints, and brushes to the why and how of layering, ending with composition. You will come away with a better grasp of how to be successful in watercolors, and have fun!
Course Outline

April 10, Day 1: The way watercolor works and why. Explore materials and textures.
April 17, Day 2: Color & Layers. Learn how colors affect layers.
April 24, Day 3: What is “negative space”, why it is so important in watercolor, and how to do it.
May 1, Day 4: Do I have to “save” my whites? What are alternatives?
May 8, Day 5: Composition basics and how to break free of the photo.
